Walking into Wed Society Connect at The Corinthian was one of those moments when you immediately understand why this venue is so special. The event brought Houston’s wedding and event community together in a setting that felt colorful, creative and elevated—while still allowing the incredible architecture of The Corinthian to take center stage.
I loved the unexpected use of color throughout the event. Bright florals, playful pinks, greens and warm tones brought a fresh, modern energy into such a grand historic space. Beautiful tablescapes, creative lounge areas, cakes, cocktails and thoughtfully styled details gave guests something new to discover throughout the room. And, of course, Golden Hour Live Art was there creating alongside an amazing group of Houston event professionals. The vendor team included City View Catering, Cakes by Gina, Premiere Events, RL Design, Darker Side DJs & Photo Booths, Erika Geier Photography and many others.
But even surrounded by all of that beautiful design, you never forget where you are.
That’s what makes The Corinthian so extraordinary. The Grand Hall is framed by 24 soaring Corinthian columns, intricate marble floors, a dramatic suspended staircase and an overlooking mezzanine. The sheer scale of the room creates a sense of occasion before a single flower, table or place setting is added.
And yet, Wed Society Connect showed exactly why the venue works for so many different styles. The Corinthian doesn’t dictate what an event has to look like. Its historic architecture can provide the
backdrop for an elegant black-tie wedding one evening and something colorful, fashion-forward and completely unexpected the next. The room is grand enough to handle a big creative vision. Dramatic florals, custom installations, statement lighting and elaborate tablescapes don’t get lost here.
There’s also something wonderfully exclusive about taking over a space like this. Unlike a traditional hotel where other guests and events may be happening around you, The Corinthian is reported to host just one event per day. For a wedding or private celebration, that means this magnificent Houston landmark gets to feel entirely yours.
After experiencing it firsthand, I think that’s what stays with me most about The Corinthian: you don’t have to create the grandeur—it’s already there. The columns, marble, staircase, history and scale are part of the building itself.
For couples and event planners who want something intimate and understated, Houston has plenty of beautiful options. But if the vision is grand, glamorous, historic and unmistakably Houston, The Corinthian is in a league of its own.The grandeur is already there.
For couples who want understated, intimate or casual, there are plenty of beautiful Houston venues. But for someone dreaming of a wedding that feels important, glamorous, historic and unmistakably Houston, The Corinthian belongs in a category of its own.
This isn’t simply a beautiful room to decorate. It’s a Houston landmark—and for one incredible evening, it gets to become yours.

Hi, this is Camille, owner of Golden Hour Live Art. A few things about me:
Mom of two—My youngest is learning golf and the saxophone, and my oldest is starting high school and playing on the JV Dripping Springs Tennis Team.
Dog obsessed—Bentley, my standard poodle, is my best friend and constant sidekick. Tennis is my happy place—I feel most like myself on a sports field or tennis court. Creating art is the only other place where I feel that same way.
Unapologetically bougie—I love beautiful, quality things, great design, amazing food and thoughtful details.
Everything is a blank canvas—I’m always imagining how something could be made more beautiful, more interesting or completely unexpected.
My favorite part of creating? Surprising someone with something even better than they imagined.
If you’re headed to Houston for a wedding or event at The Corinthian, don’t just go for the celebration—give yourself a little time to enjoy the city. Its Downtown location puts you within easy reach of some of Houston’s best food, art, sports and entertainment.
Catch a professional game. Houston is a fantastic sports city, and several venues are right in or near Downtown. Depending on the season, catch the Houston Astros at Daikin Park, the Houston Rockets at Toyota Center, or a Houston Dynamo FC or Houston Dash match at Shell Energy Stadium. Toyota Center and Shell Energy Stadium are both part of Houston’s downtown sports and entertainment scene.
Spend an afternoon in the Museum District. Houston has an incredible arts and culture scene, and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston would be my first stop. Its collection spans more than 5,000 years, and the Sarofim Campus itself is worth seeing for the architecture.
Visit The Menil Collection. For something quieter and a little more intimate, I love The Menil Collection. The 30-acre campus combines art, architecture and green spaces in a beautiful residential setting—and admission is always free.
Explore the Houston Museum of Natural Science. This is a great option for families—or anyone who appreciates dinosaurs, gems, space and science. It sits in Hermann Park and includes four floors of exhibitions, along with the planetarium and Cockrell Butterfly Center.
Start in Historic Market Square. Just a few blocks from The Corinthian, wander through one of Downtown Houston’s most historic areas before grabbing lunch or a cocktail nearby.
Head to POST Houston around sunset. Explore the food hall and then make your way to Skylawn for fantastic views of the Houston skyline.
Add a little performing arts. Houston’s Theater District gives you the Houston Ballet, Houston Grand Opera, Houston Symphony, Alley Theatre and Hobby Center—all within the Downtown area.
Have a really good cocktail. For something appropriately bougie, make your way to Bandista inside the Four Seasons for an intimate speakeasy-style cocktail experience.
